Dara Kendall

Dara Kendall is a music professional with over 15 years experience in film and television music. She is currently VP, Music at Creative Control Entertainment and has spent the majority of her career specializing in children’s music as a music executive. For over nine years at Walt Disney Television Animation Music and later, Netflix Kids Animation Music, Ms. Kendall worked closely with songwriters, composers, and other staff to shepherd the creative music process and production. As a music executive, she has been responsible for defining the creative direction and strategy for her teams, with an eye for music business development. She is passionate about harnessing the creative power of music to evoke emotion and vibrantly enhance visual stories with the highest level of quality, prioritizing diversity and inclusion. She has also worked within in-house music departments at 20th Century Studios (formerly 20th Century Fox Studios) and Warner Brothers Pictures.

Ms. Kendall graduated summa cum laude from California State University, Northridge, with a Bachelor of Music Degree in “Media Composition” (Film Scoring and Songwriting) and plays multiple instruments.
